Romans 6:1-14
When you live in a framework of approval and disapproval, success and failure, it leads to destruction. Baptism declares that you now live with Christ, and He is the framework for truly living.
Luke 19:1–10
As we start a new sermon series, Equipped to Obey, we look at the foundational equipping Jesus offers to us, namely a new start with Him.
John 4:39-45
If it is true (and it is!) that we have been made to multiply, how do we begin sharing the good news? The Samaritan woman demonstrates that the best place to begin is with your own story.
Discussion Questions
Mark 5:1-21
As followers of Jesus, we have been entrusted with the greatest good news ever. But sometimes we wonder who the right people are to share this with? Great question! The Bible offers guidance.
2 Corinthians 5:17-21
As new creation people, we are made to multiply. Why would God work this way? Why can we trust He will work through us? Important questions to consider as we look to a new year.
Discussion Questions
1 Thessalonians 4:13-18
The people of the very young church in Thessalonica had some questions and concerns. Apparently they wondered if those believers who died before Christ returned for His Church might miss that great “gathering”. As we look at Paul’s letter, we will talk about those concerns as well as look at that “gathering” that we call the Rapture. What is it? When is it? Is it different than Christ’s second coming?

1 Samuel 16:1-13
The story of David's anointing tells us something about Jesus, and, through Jesus, it also tells us something about ourselves. In every case, it tells us what it means to be chosen.
Matthew 1:1,17
Why does Matthew begin his gospel by telling us that Jesus is "the son of David"? Because David's life, as imperfect as it was, points to God's promises and tells us of the King who wants to reign in our lives, as well.
2 Peter 3:1-18
As C.S. Lewis says, our time here on earth is just "the cover and the title page" of an even grander story "which goes on for ever, in which every chapter is better than the one before.” What would it look like to live in light of that reality?
2 Peter 2:1-22
A lot of people just want to live how they think best. God won't judge them, they say, because He is loving. Peter tells us that love and justice are not opposites, they actually belong together.
2 Peter 1:12-21
God knows we need to be reminded of the Gospel truth, and that’s why good preaching will always point us back to Christ time and time again.
2 Peter 1:3-11
Peter reminds his readers that while faith in Christ is enough, it is never alone. We add to faith in order to grow in faith.
2 Peter 1:1–2
Peter's letter looks back in order to look ahead. Here at the start of the letter, he invites us to stand with him in order to see what he sees. Where we stand is key.
Psalm 8
Who am I? This is one of the most nagging questions of our time. The Bible tells us something about our identity that we would never have deduced on our own. And the answer relieves us of a burden we were never meant to carry.
John 8:36
The hope of the Gospel is that Christ has won the victory over sin, eveil and death. Recovery is possible through Christ.

Psalm 14
What is true foolishness? And what craziness does this foolishness lead to in our world? David writes so that we, as God's people, would flee to Christ for refuge and remember that there is only one hope for our own foolishness....
Psalm 51
The Psalmist will also tell us that joy separate of God, is a short measure. Anything we seek, separate of God, has an expiration date. Whether it’s a new bell for the dog collar or Botox for your lips or… you get the point. Our joy might last two years. Maybe a month. Might last a lifetime! But it’ll never be full or completely satisfying, and it’ll never last forever.
